Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday that he plans to target drug cartels and crack down on gun crimes to snuff out what could be the start of a national crime wave, evidenced by a recent uptick in homicides and other violence.
But left unsaid is whether Mr. Sessions also will direct the Justice Department to disrupt the legal marijuana industry a move that critics say could undermine his goals and enable the cartels.

Let’s have some indictments for the “Fast and Furious” criminals!
The problem he’s going to find is that our own government is involved. Taking out some of their support groups like La Raza would help.
You wanna investigate a “crime wave”? Investigate the Clinton Foundation. Take a peak at the McCain Foundation too.
If he wants to keep money out of the hands of the cartels than leave legalized marijuana alone. The more people buy legally the less they buy illegally and the less money the cartels make.
FWIW most marijuana is grown locally and is not coming from Mexico.
He better have a whole list, not just a target. The Clinton Foundation, Fast and Furious, Obama Birth Certificate ... the left must be DEFEATED, not delayed.
Jeff Sessions, How long is this “planning” supposed to take? There are hundreds of schools, town, cities and some states refusing to enforce federal immigration laws. Where are the arrests?
Start by having a few high-profile convictions of Straw Buyers with STIFF sentences, and watch that area dry up quickly. I know the BATF is involved, but surely there is some heat the DOJ can put on them to cooperate.
Follow that up with expanding Project Exile, which, I understand, has been put back into operation.
Meth, coke and heroin are the cartel’s bread and butter. Weed is secondary.
It’s so nice to have a reputable Attorney General again - hats off to Jeff Sessions...
