In fairness, it appears that neither their side nor our side was prepared for this. Why would you drop a bomb like this naming your predecessor specifically without having your surrogates prepared and without having a news conference ready to go with evidence prepared for the press?
Just playing devil’s advocate here and I certainly believe this happened, but why was the follow up “no further comment” from the whitehouse? You knocked every surrogate you had off the Sunday news shows because this is all they are going to be asked about and (if true) your main surrogates and inner circle did not know about it?
This surveillance of the opposition party is a huge scandal, but am I the only one scratching my head today? Everyone knows the first 24 hours shapes the story. “No further comment” is not getting ahead of the spin or the backlash and Saturday morning is even worse than Friday night to drop a major news story. The silence from the White House is unnerving - especially in light of the statements being provided from the opposition and FBI.
Trump may own the facts, but all that matters is the spin if the facts are not present. The Bush Presidency showed this to be true in the face of opposition media. We all want him to fight, but all I am seeing is confusion on the Sunday shows. It has mostly been GOP congress critters who have no clue.

What am I missing here? Surveillance of any kind on the opposition party using the government security agencies is about as scandalous as it gets, but where is the follow-up and why was the inner circle not read into this (if reports are to be believed - fairly reputable sources)? Why not have all the evidence prepared to show what happened?
I was outraged yesterday. Today I am confused. The media hates him and we all know it. There is little doubt that he has been victimized by the rats and former administration. However, he dropped the biggest bomb I have ever seen via a tweet and I have a bad suspicion based on the lack of follow-up that Spicer will be at the podium tomorrow saying “no further comment”? All we are getting is Republicrats on the Sunday shows who know nothing?
