Chuck F. Schumer reminds me of George Custer! (May he RIP.) Chuck stuck yelling “CHARGE”, in the boxed canyon.
There’s an even better Custer story, known to historians. In the days before the surrender of the Army of N. Virginia by Gen. Robert E. Lee to General Grant, there were Union cavalry that harassed CSA General Longstreet’s flanking column in the withdrawal from Richmond.
Custer, a cavalry unit commander under Kirkpatrick— took it upon himself to send himself and an aide (under a white flag) up to General Gordon one time (refused) and General Longstreet while Lee and Grant were negotiating by letter to meet. He asked for Longstreet’s sword as representing the army and to be the “surrender of all forces”. Custer rode on to confront Longstreet and demanded surrender from him. Longstreet stood in his stirrups (he was 1.5 feet taller than Custer, and on a large horse to support himself), raised his voice at Custer, yelling “not to you, Boy, ever” and literally chased him off.
Schumer is like Custer in every way— and add to that an inveterate liar and fraud, who twists words and cannot stay out of cameras view. Trump has his number and punches it regularly— can push all of Schumer’s buttons, and gets to him.
Understand your sentiment— but,Custer really was a glory hound, and his urgency to win and become a Presidential candidate is well documented. He was not careful in the run up to Little Big Horn, and he paid for it along with his entire battalion command, against the finest natural cavalry in the US, the Cheyenne and Sioux warriors.
Schumer, can run his mouth, say 4 different things and not realize what an idiot he looks like doing so— and also, not caring, arrogant as he is.
