In The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle demonstrated how human consciousness becomes imprisoned by the controlling mind, and how that mind, so much focused on the task of controlling and centralizing one's attention on the past and future, may feel threatened by any attempt to escape from mental control. The imprisoned mind will seek to reassert its enslavement at the first hint of change.
Just such a separation of consciousness from Being, or, if you will, of mankind from God, is exactly what is at play in our current national drama. A powerful mental construct – the liberal myth of a progressive utopia brought about by surrender of the individual to state control – is at risk of being swept away by a great movement to free consciousness from the controlling ideas of the liberal past. As Shelby Steele wrote in a remarkable March 6 op-ed ("The Exhaustion of American Liberalism"), we stand "at the end of something," that something being the radical mindset that has dominated so much of American intellectual life since the 1960s.

Here is the the deal. 1/3 of the people are libs. 1/3 are conservative. 1/3 are in the middle. To the liberal 1/3 it policies do not matter. Nothing, murders, rapes terror attacks, high unemployment the fact that LA jails contain a huge percent of illegals, doesn’t matter. Why the liberal 1/3 is soo ticked off is that the middle third is starting to realize they have been bullied, shamed and intimidated into supporting liberals the last 20 years or so to the detriment of their bank accounts and national security. They have largely don’t this by simply name calling. The Conservatives are bigots, homophobes, racists, Islamophobes, haters. So of course the libs are going berserk!
That was a fun article to read. Interesting, and perhaps a bit bizarre that he brought Tolle into it, but it brought an interesting perspective into his analysis. Thanks for posting it.

President trump also understands that the foundation of American civil society is Christianity. Leftist attempts to replace true religion with progressive government authority have failed utterly. The few who do not yet understand that have nut soup for brains and need to grow up. The rest have their illegitimate power to lose and fight a rear guard action.
If we are fortunate enough to keep President Trump alive we will succeed in a bloodless revolution that will reclaim the honor and dignity of our great nation. If we lose him retribution will be just as final but far, far bloodier.

Well stated, and deadly accurate.
Not necessarily the point. Tolle is an “enlightenment” icon. The article takes that big E and sticks it in... with a good twist for an epifany.
