When I was stationed in West Germany during the ‘80s, my favorite German beer was Schultheiss.
Shiner Black and Paulaner Salvatore are delightful as well

See my post #180.
Like you, I prefer the German ales. Spaten and Warsteiner primarily.
You should seek counseling.

I enjoy those in the winter months with a good cigar.

Ahhh...a good German beer! Hubby drank a lot of those when we were there.

I like Amstel or Stella Artois. For domestic Ill only do microbrews such as Alaska Amber or any IPA. Medium domestic would be Sam Adams, Blue Moon, and never ever ever Bud, Coors, Miller, etc >gak<

Sam Adams is the only domestic beer I’d drink; all else are micro brews.
You Are Heineken |
You like your beer mild and easy to drink, so you can concentrate on a good meal. Overall, you're a friendly drunk who's likely to buy a whole round for your friends. Sometimes you can be a bit boring when you drink. You may be prone to go on about topics no one cares about. |
How very interesting. Heineken is the most recent beer I put in my fridge. Sometimes the quizzes are spot on; others they are a bit on the fringe.
LOL! Good one! Thanks for sharing...and for playing! Interesting line across the top of the label.
Cool that it knew ya! Hubby used to like that one, too! :)
Howdy, EGC! (((hugs)))
All is well here. About 62° already and climbing. Sun’s out trees budding out and sneezing from allergies to mulberry blooms. LOL!
Hope you and Bo had fun at the lake yesterday! Did he find any trophies?
I guess a Scot would have to like Guinness, right? :)
Thanks for playing!
That Paulaner is good stuff, amigo.
Sooo true! Hubby really enjoyed living there because of the beer. I don’t like the stuff—tried but just don’t—but loved going to Oktoberfest and to the Lowenbrau brewery. Among many other fun stuff to do over there!
I’ll bet that’s all changed now, with the nasty “refugees” dirtying up that lovely clean country!
Have to agree, they are sehr gut. I did a short stint with the Brits and Langeleben (near Wolfenbuttel/Braunschwieg) where the favorite local was a brew called Schultheiss. They had another name for it...
Schultheiss - wow! I’m surprised another FReeper knows the brand. Probably shouldn’t be, though.
Good ol’ Mac Davis. He was never one for humility, was he?
