Only the Germans know how to brew real beer. Any of the six official Munich Oktoberfest sponsors beat every other brew in the world. For your future enjoyment they are: Spatan, Hofbrau, Lowenbrau, Paulaner, Hacker-Schoor, and Augustiner. All are the product of breweries that have been around for centuries. Only the Czechs brew beers that are comparable.
When I was stationed in West Germany during the ‘80s, my favorite German beer was Schultheiss.
Sooo true! Hubby really enjoyed living there because of the beer. I don’t like the stuff—tried but just don’t—but loved going to Oktoberfest and to the Lowenbrau brewery. Among many other fun stuff to do over there!
I’ll bet that’s all changed now, with the nasty “refugees” dirtying up that lovely clean country!
