I also hate the fact that a person has to go through their lifes savings to qualify for Disability.

If you have a sizable savings you have to burn through it before you get one penny of SS benefits.
It doesn’t matter that you will need that money for medical bills.
The goal of the SS worker is to drag out the process until you are dead broke.

The whole system needs a rewrite.

I am very sad to tell you, when I read of some Black being appointed to a high position, I often first wonder if it was due to merit or skin color. That is the sad response to overwhelming affirmative action. The funny thing is, I don’t question it if the appointment is from our side.......I assume the person is qualified. Welfare fraud is too big of an issue in our country to ignore. Tens of thousands of people on a daily basis defraud the system. This sees taxpayer money go to people who don’t need it and don’t deserve it. We the People should not be forced to foot the bill for people so they can load up their stash and get high all day.

It's a win - win. Taxpayers pay less AND - in the long run - lives are saved.

I believe diagnosed alcoholics are eligible for disability as are families with kids with ADHD and on Ritalin receive. I know of a family who faked symptoms of an active 4 year old, applied, convinced authorities and began receiving monetary benefits. There was nothing wrong with the child. I had occasion to visit them one day, early afternoon, and there was a half full quart bottle of bourbon in the middle of their kitchen breakfast table.

May have been the wrong color in the opinion of that district to get it.

My mom was discriminated y a heavily Hispanic SS office, even though she got a very real spinal injury at work.
Only took ten years to get rectified.

Does no one remember that being chronically unemployed was declared a disability therefore making them eligible for SS disability?

There are lawyers who make a living getting people approved for disability. Trying to get it without a lawyer or social worker who knows the system takes much effort and usually doesn’t work. Sad but true.

There are some people who know the system, know how it works, and use it to their advantage. There are thousands getting something they call “crazy money” or “crazy payments” - I can’t remember the exact term they use. They claim they are crazy and get disability.

When you point this out you get a lot of people waving the Constitution at you. Fact is to restore us to Constitutional Law will require some extra Constitutional footwork.
