DONALD Trump has blasted cash rich Germany for owing “vast sums of money” to Nato.
Tweeting a day after an awkward meeting with German leader Angela Merkel, Trump demanded Berlin should cough up billions of Euros more on defence.

Only the US and four other Nato members – including the UK – currently reach the alliance’s benchmark of spending on defence which is 2% of GDP.
But Germany spends a miserly 1.23% of its national income despite running a whopping £234billion budget surplus.
The two leaders showed little common ground yesterday over a host of thorny issues, including Nato and defence spending.
And today Trump tweeted: “Germany owes vast sums of money to NATO & the United States must be paid more for the powerful, and very expensive, defence it provides to Germany!”

I hope that Trump will pursue this matter vigorously and don’t let Germany have a free ride. Europeans are usually on vacation or planning for a vacation. Let them contribute to their defense instead of the US having to pick up the tab.

They pay nothing for defense and use that savings for social programs and high speed trains. Then they lecture us for not having socialized medicine and perfectly connected passenger rail across the entire US.

Germany actually calculates the “rent” they could be collecting on the lands occupied by US forces stationed in Germany for NATO as part of its “defense” contribution. Trump gave Merkel a lesson in real estate. Hence no smiles or hand shakes. Bottom line is that NATO is an outmoded and outdated concept. Western Europeans have shown they are incapable of securing their borders or defending their culture and heritage. Their leaders have bought into the Marxist tenet of one world/no borders with free and unrestricted migrations. That policy combined with birth control, widespread abortion and the irreplaceable genetic losses from 1914-1945 have doomed Western Europe. The United States if it defends its borders and cultural heritage will find that it has much in common with a nationalistic Russia, that is trying to recover from close to ninety years of debilitating, destructive communism, and once again becomes proud and inspired by its culture and heritage. Western Europe will devolve into something not worth yet more American blood and treasure.

There is a second fund to support the organization, the building, workers etc etc. No one pays their fair share into that either....except us.....plus the tax loss WE assume with the building in NYC.....aka...the high rent district.
Is the value of the debt that Germany owes to NATO, greater than the value the dirt that George Soros has on Angela Merkel?
