No different that a politician being "for the people" and giving a small donation when the cameras are on, and then shoveling $$ out the back door to his buddies and relatives.

I remember him sitting there with that grin - like an OLD deer in the headlights - when asked why he wouldn’t ‘defend’ himself about the same accusations, saying

Unfortunately it ran big and a LOT of people believe Trump wanted to cut meals on wheels. It will hurt part of his base a lot of seniors use mow. It’s not just the food for a lot seniors it is the only human contact they have on a regular basis.
Anyone who would let an elderly neighbor starve is a beast anyway. Decent people wouldn’t let that happen. They’d at least take up a collection from neighbors or the town and organize a way to get food a senior who can’t drive and doesn’t have much mobility but who wants to stay in their own home.
Worth repeating. Proof that "where's there a will, there's a way" to get back to basics, at least in this small and obvious case, to reducing the Federal Government's engaging in extra-Constitutional spending and responsibility.
The story doesn’t have to “hold up”. It was repeated, again, by Chris Wallace just now on FNS, to show how the Trump budget was causing millions of deserving elderly to starve. It’s proof of the Goering/Hitler strategy of repeating a big enough lie often enough to become true.
I think some younger folks will start to realize that family is important. In a normal, stable family setting the elderly are respected and taken care of, fed, clothed and housed in the best conditions the family can provide, not the government, the family.

But don’t you think when “those who thought they were going to be affected” see that the service continues, they will figure out that it was just another liberal lie?
And that will serve to reinforce their idea that Trump is doing the right thing?

Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday was pushing the "Trump's cutting Meals on Wheels" story this morning. After saying he was intimately familiar with the budget process, dumbass Paul Ryan couldn't even push back on Wallace to tell him "Meals on Wheels" isn't a FedGov program!
With dumbasses like Paul Ryan, who needs the Democrats?!
Yes when the recipients see mow hasn’t been touched they will know it wasn’t true. But more then a few will continue to believe mean Mr. Trump tried to defund it. This is the kind of BS MSM pulls so that’s why Trump needs to keep tweeting.

The person has to get up to answer the door when they deliver so they were already facing the risk of a fall.
Some of them even have to go out to the driveway or road as the drivers are too obese to exit the delivery vehicle.

At work about 2/3rds are liberal, and a few of them spout this stuff all day long - “Trump killed meals on wheels” is just the latest of a long string of fake news headlines they claim are truth. Amazing how brainwashed they are.
