I can't imagine Israel being able to act the way does for too much longer. Old Testament relationships with your neighbors can be sustained for only so long. And that's with an almost unlimited amount of dollars from the U.S. taxpayers (adjusting for inflation it's a quarter of a trillion dollars since 1948-- even excluding never repaid loans: https://fas.org/sgp/crs/mideast/RL33222.pdf

I can't imagine the coming demographic makeup of America, ironically, pushed for by Israel's biggest supports in Congress, will be agreeable to sending a huge chunk of its foreign budget to this project, nor will they be able to do so.

Old Testament relationships with neighbors?

You mean those nice people who launch thousands of rockets against your civilian centers every year?

If Mexico did that to us for 1 week much less decades - Mexico would not exist.

I find your comment to be... terribly ignorant.

1. Israel has repaid loans. Their debt is rolled over, just like ours is. As for unlimited dollars, you are talking about 3 Billion in an economy of 286 Billion. And Israel would be better off with no aid to the region, because the US gives aid to Israel's current and potential enemies.

2. Virtually everyone claims to be a Zionist. They are on all side of the immigration debate. Yes, changing demographics are bad for Jews and Israel. But no one is thinking in these term other than Stephen Steinlight, who was silenced by the court Jews.
