We made an agreement with Russia (Syrian Kurds)

The existence of the Russian army units in the Cindy's of the Ephrin Canton was the result of an agreement made between our forces and the Russian army.

The agreement was based on the fight against terrorism and on the basis of military training of the Russian army's warriors. We have direct relations with Russia.

This step is a positive and good step in the fight against terrorism in Syria. After our forces prove themselves against terrorism, many forces are willing to help us and make a deal with us.

I'm sure this is another move to keep Turkey from attacking the Efrin area in Northern Syria (aka Rojava).

There must have been a dialog between Russia and the YPG. And in another dialog between Russia, Syria and probably Turkey.

I do not take this as a slight to the US for our support. There appears to be an understanding based upon actions between the US and Russia.

If this will bring a quicker peaceful resolution of the Syrian war and stable honest government to all the areas, I am totally for it.

This should not detract from the job underway of eliminating ISIS.

I am not at all surprised by this.

Everybody involved wants ISIS destroyed.
They will cooperate for that one reason.

When ISIS is gone, it’s back to business as usual................

Yes, but I see effort to look past that. I know for a fact there have been 2 separate meetings about that subject, neither including the US. But I am sure the US knows about it.

So, I think in this case the adult leadership is ready for this to be over.

I am sick of the backstabbing and the needless bloodshed.

“I’m sure this is another move to keep Turkey from attacking the Efrin area”

That.

Russia has an embassy for the PYD in Moscow. They are the first country to do so, and one of the few that could give a realistic security guarantee to an independent Rojava.

They may well end up as a Russian client State.

I agree to what you said, but am not sure about the last statement.

I don’t see this as closing the door at all to the US.

It might be an avenue toward a better relationship between US and Russia.

Time will tell.

I suspect Russia has been helping them for some time. That was never communicated to the Syrian Kurds.

A Russian client is not Freedom. Syrian Kurds really want that and deserve it. I’m not sure they understand that Leftism past communalism does not function well.

ISIS is a creation of the Saudis. they are the home of extremist Islam and can turn it off and on (mostly on) at will.

Obama/Clinton and the US deep state understand that, so they see ISIS simply as a strategic tool, created for the purpose of proxy-war, to help our Saudi friends install Sunni-led government in Syria, and to poke our Russian opponents in the eye.

Kurds declare an independent Kurdistan, immediately recognized by Russia, China and their allies.

Possibly others as well, like India and Brazil.

We would have to follow suit.

Erdogan gets huffy and pulls out of NATO.

EU applauds.....................

Yes, it does look like a new nation is being born. And US and Russia are the insurance it survives. Amazing.
