FBI Director James Comey declined to say Monday whether his team has launched an investigation into the leaks that led to former White House national security advisor Mike Flynn's ouster.
Comey was pressed by Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., to say whether he could confirm such an investigation is taking place, but Comey said he could not because it might confirm that classified information was leaked.
"I can't, but I hope people watching know how seriously we take leaks of classified information," he said during Monday's hearing on Russia's influence on the election. "But I don't want to confirm it by saying that we're investigating it."

Well, you declined to refer Hillary for thousands of felonies involving the mishandling of classified information. It's crystal clear how seriously you take leaks of classified information.

Even if (as is complained by the perpetually outraged) Obama didn't order the wiretap, he certainly was in a position to stop it. It does seem like crimes were committed and NO ONE who was responsible for stopping the spying on private citizens was doing their job.
The dems, meanwhile, were all about their "end justifies the means", regardless of how bogus their end game might be.

Too late for firing now. The problem is if Trump fires Comey now, it will look like political retibution, and more fodder for the liberal/MSM cries for impeachment.

Comey can confirm total b.s. “investigation” of non-existent “Russian links” to Trump campaign, but can’t confirm or promise investigation of KNOWN leak of classified transcripts of Flynn wiretaps.

In my opinion, Gowdy masterfully showed that Comey has not investigated the leaks. First he cross-examined Comey on how many people have access to the information that could have leaked. Comey did not even know how many people in the FBI have access. He did not know who in other agencies had access. He did not know what other agencies had access. Then later Gowdy swung back and asked Director Comey what is the first thing you would do if you were investigating the leaks. Comey said I would determine who would have access to the information. Gowdy looked over to the jury with a raised eyebrow and said “no further questions Mr. Comey.” Thus, proving Comey has done nothing on the leak investigation.
Comey and the “intelligence community” boys are out to get President Trump. The politicians like Obama and Clintoonie are sacred to them. President Trump isn’t a politician and therefore, he doesn’t know how the District of Corruption money game is played. He’s got to go.

Here is the good thing about it. They have been spying on Trump for a long time and couldn’t take him down. So we elected the right person.
