The US government may soon be barring passengers from bringing electronic devices larger than a cellphone on some flights to and from the Middle East and Africa.
But it seems that no one is sure what's really going on.
Royal Jordanian Airlines on Monday tweeted a description of an electronics ban apparently implemented by the US government. But the airline deleted the tweet a few hours later.

It probably makes sense... there’s enough dead space in a laptop to conceal enough explosives to take out a plane.
Just to the Middle east and Africa eh? That’s more than 12 hours flight time. Not having a laptop is Chinese waiter torture indefinitely.
I assume some liberal judge will find a constitutional right for foreigners to carry laptops on airplane flights into our country.
Just ban all air travel, trains and cars - that way there can’t be any terror risk to travel infrastructure. /s

I suppose that if I were a suicidal moslem, I’d figure out a way to breach the laptop’s battery, soak it in some water and toss it all into a lavatory waste bin.
