With all due respect to Pres. Trump, my concern is that constitutionally low-information (imo) Trump is being “assimilated” by the Borg (Star Trek) (aka, uniparty, corrupt Congress).

In other words, I’m sure that the uniparty is teaching Trump everything that he needs to know about Congress’s constitutionally limited powers. /sarc

I respect your opinion but i think unraveling in steps makes more sense and much less risky. Or let it fail and go from there.

Means trade goods should move freely among the states with no tariffs or duties or other obstructions attached. Has nothing whatsoever to do with health care or health care insurance (or the manufacturing, production processes, etc, btw).

President Trump has encountered the type of obstacles he will face in ‘draining the swamp’.

The companies benefiting from ObamaCare put a lousy replacement in front of the consumers.

The government bureaucrats helped make it as onerous as Obamacare.

The RINO’s gleefully advanced a lousy bill that guaranteed a continuation of big government.

Cleaning up the DC mess will not be easy. Trump was elected on MAGA and Drain the Swamp promises. Just do it.

Back to the states it should go ...

And selling across state lines should also be left up to the individual states .... not mandated by fedgov ...

It seems the Commerce Clause in the Constitution would override anybody who would prevent an insurer from selling across state lines.

I suspect the reason we have 50 State Insurance Commissions is that the Insurance Companies like it that way.

Unraveling in steps means it’ll never happen. You have to yank the chain to flush the crap.

No. Insurance is a financial service and different states have different rules on what can be sold to their residents.

All types of insurance get sold by companies across state lines now. The policies must be worded to be compliant in the state it is sold into.

An insurance policy is just a contract.

The federal government needs to get out of every aspect of health care. That means repealing Obamacare, Medicaid, Medicare and the Social Security disability program. We also need to dismantle the VA and leave it to the states to care for veterans as they see fit.

I think you presume that Mr Trump is capable of giving that informative fireside chat with the American people. I doubt it. And I don't say that as a pejorative. I didn't vote for him expecting a firm constitutionalist, rather to provide cover for the feckless Republicans to be courageous for a change, at the same time keeping the constitutional reins tight. Imagine my surprise (not) when the Pubs at the first sign of resistance opted for ACA Lite, rather than rubbing the Dems' noses in the mess they had created. So, to summarize, the only ones interested in that fireside chat are those who are taking the heat for their principles. I doubt that the leadership plans on giving them a national stage.

And also insurance companies would rather not deal with 50 different regulatory agencies. It is easier for them to deal with one.

But they also need D votes to pass replace. As soon as it’s written off stage watch how quickly it will all fall in place with bipartisan support.

D's helping to give us healthcare. What could possibly go wrong.

No.. Nurse practitioners, nurses and medical assistants are decidedly not anywhere near as capable as a medical doctor with undergraduate prerequisites 4 years of a decent med school, a year of internship and 3 to 5 years of a residency and perhaps even a fellowship.

Do not be fooled.

Proprietary schools are turning out those types of para medical personnel who are no where near as vigorously trained as even the ones with the same degrees 2o years ago.
