Spicer Green Jewelers is the 2nd generation at this location in Downtown Asheville. The original for decades before was called Wick & Greene and was a traditional, stuffy, high end and high class joint. The kids bought out the parents and said they’d take a different route. Indeed they have!
It wouldn’t surprise me if it indeed were a pre-arranged hissy fit for the publicity. The article mentioned some of the jewelry store’s previous billboards. They are tongue in cheek & stand out from the usual staid adverts.
(I mean I *hope* it’s by arrangement because... I swear, I wish my own life were so easy as to find this sign the most aggravating part of my day. I got real problems, knowwhutimean?)
