Three masked men, armed with a knife, kick in tour back door in broad daylight, shot inside the kitchen.

Justified..........

“Upon making entry to the home one of the residents fired a rifle striking all three of the suspects,” the sheriff’s office statement said.

Boy, with the way that was written that was one amazing shot.

Layman’s summary: The Orthodox Church never applauds killing. But it recognizes that there are legitimate situations where there is a right to self defense which also extends to society as a whole.

“Glad his aim was good and no neighbors were shot. Those rounds travel a long way.”

An uncle of mine, a former police chief, says a shotgun is the best for home defense because it’s rounds have a shorter killing range.

“Members of the Dindu tribe?”

The Nuffin brothers - Dindu, Wundu, Nevdu.

How many bullets do you need to kill twenty hogs in your cornfield?

Good point and one I was thinking of myself. An AR15 would not be my first choice for a home defense weapon in an urban or suburban environment. I’d go for a 12 gauge shotgun or a handgun chambered for a round that will get the job done w/o a high risk of over-penetration.

The law does not state that they cannot be sued. As you said it states that they cannot be held liable. But there could well be a lawsuit to determine whether is was self defense or not. The maxim in the US is “Anyone can sue anybody for anything.” With the right judge the lawsuit might proceed to trial despite the law and given the right jury the defendant could lose. Highly improbable in OK but the odds are not zero.

Hopefully the marksman is already lawyered up.

Note the predictably liberal arrogance and bed wetting in the WaPo comments.

“Members of the Dindu tribe?”

Just a hunch but I was thinking they were from a little further south as in south of the boarder!

Exodus 22-2

If a thief is caught breaking in and is struck so that he dies, there will be no blood guilt for him.

Sad. The poor victims were just part of the local Meals-On-Wheels program. The homeowner misunderstood their intentions as they were at the wrong address and weren’t expected.

Their contributions to the community will be sorely missed.

Were the 3 perps standing in a line as they came through the door and guy got a triple with 1 or 2 shots?

If not you would think that after the first 1 was shot the other 2 would put their hands up or try to run out the door. But then I never could wrap my mind around the thoughts of a criminal. ..

Three intruders were killed...

That’s unusual. Usually there are some wounded and maybe a death. Looks like I’m gonna be getting an AR-15.

In Luke 22:36 Jesus said to his disciples: "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one."

The context is traveling. It's believed he meant that to fight robbers on the road, which makes sense to me.

3-1/2" BB 12GA in my Super Nova. 93 .18" BBs at 1450fps. Just a hair under a .22 each of the 93 pellets, but faster than a LR round.

You'd have to ask 'em on that one.

Oh, wait...
