Immigration Enforcement
National Public Radio ^ | 3/29/17 | National Public Radio

NPR reports: "They come from places like Vietnam, China, Mexico and Guatemala, lured by promises of better-paying jobs and legal immigration. Instead, they're smuggled into the U.S., forced to work around the clock as bussers, wait staff and cooks, and housed in cramped living quarters. For this, they must pay exorbitant fees that become an insurmountable debt, even as their pay is often withheld, stolen or unfairly docked."

My recommendation to President Trump to stop this would be to raise fines on businesses and let local law enforcement enforce the fines against these businesses. Local law enforcement should get most of the revenue from the fines. Do not create a bigger federal government for enforcement but give the money back locally. That way local police would have an additional financial incentive to enforce. State and local governments would be putting cameras in restaurants like they do to enforce speeding violations.

This is exactly why the dems want illegal immigration. So their big business friends can take advantage of them.

That should definitely be part of the solution. I have a buddy in the landscaping business. He is a patriot and hires American workers, but he finds it very difficult to compete against the ones that hire illegals. If one business hires illegals, it puts pressure on all of them to hire illegals to compete.
Me — I mow my own lawn and cut my own brush. I also make sure I hire home improvement contractors who only hire American workers.

This is also a form of modern day slavery or, at least, indentured servitude. The Dems are returning to their roots of slavery support.

Last sentence of your excerpt sounds like taxes.

The NPR has several big lies, but they get the sympathy vote for a criminal always justifies his crime. The illegals are not “forced” to work. I’ve said it for years, simple fines on employers. First fine, $10,000 then log increases. 100,000, 1 million, .......

Why is NPR broadcasting this about immigrants being trafficked, stuck in low wage jobs, owing money to their handlers? Could it be that a serious expose is about to break?

In Arizona the fine is $10,000 per employee. The second time you lose your license. We have EVerify and that helps a bit, but it keeps an employer who is trying to do the right thing from suffering if he is legit.

There are still companies that don’t care. They should go to jail

The fine increases 10 fold with each new violation. No company can survive that.

That’s why the government MUST step in and enforce immigration law. Allowing illegality to thrive makes more illegality likely, sort of like the broken windows theory. How can an honest businessman compete against those who ignore the law? One either goes out of business or breaks the law to survive.

Enforce the law. By definition, illegal aliens are in the USA illegally. At face value, they are criminals, each and every one. Employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens and pay in cash and don’t pay employment taxes, including social security taxes on these illegal aliens are, themselves, criminals. Prosecute them. Fine them. Put them in jail. Enforce the law.

Most solutions to most problems are simple. What is lacking is the will to solve the problem.

Agree; there would be no immigration problem if their was proper enforcement. If illegal immigrants cannot work to make money there is no reason to stay. They would self deport. Our enforcement is so lax there is an incentive to stay. Turn the local police radar force on businesses hiring illegal immigrants.

No company has had to because the law isn't enforced any more than the illegal immigration laws are enforced.
