I don’t see his tweet as an “attack” on anyone, he just wants the Freedom Caucus and the Republicans united to fight the Democrats. Everyone is getting all twisted up on this, when it is more of a nothingburger.
The only possible issue Trump may have is that he might have believed he had a deal with the Freedom Caucus and they moved the goal posts. I don’t know if that is accurate, some have speculated it.
Also, I expect some sort of deal on health care to emerge within the next week as a brokered compromise between the Freedom Caucus and the more moderate members of the caucus. I have said this before and I will say it again - the repeal of Obamacare will require numerous bills over a number of years. Essentially, it will be death by a thousand cuts.
The political reality is that there are a bunch of RINO wimps in Congress who will not vote for a full repeal. So we have to tear out organs of Obamacare piecemeal until it essentially is dead.
His tweet paints them as a bunch of uncrompromising wacko kooks.
He needs to clarify and narrow his criticism and quickly.
I’ll be tuning into Hannity to hopefully clear this mess up.
And we all know who deserves the critism, the very guy Trump is supporting and the Freedom Caucus is opposing — Paul Ryan-Care.
So why aim his fire at people who over a variety of common-sense, zero-cost, zero-pain solutions?
