Trump is more conservative than the vast majority of Republicans in Congress. 1/4 of the Freedom Caucus is liberal and over 1/4 of them are NeverTrumpers.
The Freedom Caucus elected Paul Ryan to represent them. Now, think for a moment, if you were in the House, would you elect 0bama to represent you in negotiations?

I'm getting tired of the 'HFC voted for Ryan' crap that get troweled out daily around here. It took a lot more than their piddly 30-odd votes to make Ryan the Speaker. That part gets conveniently ignored. And 'HFC took money from blahblahblah!' News flash everyone...ALL congresscritters are on the take, this is nothing new or spectacular.
I'm not buying into the President's attacks on the HFC, it looks decidedly unhinged and fratricidal.
