Chucky Schumer thinks he’s way too important. President Trump should call his bluff.

Obama and the Dems made the shutdowns seem scary by threatening SS checks. Trump will make sure those go out. No downside do it.
To: NobleFree
lol When do we start!!
Most divisions in companies would be terrified of a temporary shut down. The company might find out they’re not needed.
It would be good to analyze what depts really DONT need nearly as many people as they have.

If the possibility of a “government shutdown” becomes an imminent strong possibility, TRUMP SHOULD ANNOUNCE THAT HE DOESN'T BELIEVE IN PAYING GOVERNMENT WORKERS FOR NOT WORKING and will NOT SIGN any post shutdown legislation paying the nonessential federal employees for the time they did not work! Of course, “essential” federal employees should be paid for the time they worked and “made whole”.
Once a government shutdown becomes a possibility, Trump should have his OPM & agencies notify their workers that in the event they are told not to report to work, THEY SHOULD GO TO THEIR STATE UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICES TO APPLY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS. TRUMP SHOULD ALSO SAY THAT MANY MAY NEVER BE CALLED BACK TO WORK. In this regard, they will be treated exactly as private sector employees are treated — no better & no worse.
Watch how quickly the appetite of the ‘RATS for a government shutdown disappears like a fart in the wind!

I believe during the last major govt. shutdown, people were very upset the National Parks were closed. I seem to recall that the shutdown had a negative effect on future Republican reelections. Would be nice to say Dems will get the blame, but too many people know Republicans have majorities in House and Senate, and the Presidency. Dems can only influence if some Republicans cooperate.
