Writing from his cell on death row at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan has declared he is going on a “99 pound hunger strike,” according to a letter reviewed by Fox News.
The former Army psychiatrist, who opened fire on unarmed fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, Texas, in November 2009, killed 13 people and injured 31 that day. Hasan was sentenced to death in 2013 and continues to declare himself an SoA, “soldier of Allah.”

There are more weapons on Fort Hood than anyplace in the United States. Good men were not allowed to carry them.
I have absolutely no problem with weapons in the hands of good men. That piece of excrement would have been able to kill a few people but not the many he did. He was in a gymnasium full of people that are trained to kill you. They did not have weapons but he did.
I do not want weapons in the Barracks. Young soldiers and whiskey is a bad mix. I have no problem with officers and senior sergeants carrying weapons on duty or off duty so long as they are not drinking.
Here in the great state of Texas we have about 1 million concealed carry licensed individuals. See attached link below to see how many times these licensed carriers use their weapons in an improper manner. It is minuscule.
Actually being a concealed carrier got me out of two traffic tickets in the last ten years. I have since slowed down my driving speed.
When I was stopped I would have my license to carry, my drivers license and my insurance in my left hand. My right hand would be on the steering wheel. When the officer came to my car the first thing I said is I am a concealed carrier, I am armed and told him exactly where the weapon was. I was dealt with very courteously and given a warning about speeding but not a ticket. I was never asked to surrender my weapon.
There are some bad cops but they are very rare. Most of the cops in Texas are the good guys.
