Gee, I hate to agree with LG but once more on this....also a question, can they still go nuclear on Ruth Bader Liberal later, too? (a 2nd nuke strike?) - I would hope so.

This is clearly an important species we’re dealing with, and I don’t think you or I or anybody has the right to arbitrarily exterminate them.

Of course they could go nuclear later on, unless there's some kind of informal agreement behind the scenes—which I've read might happen.

Filibuster rule, 60 vote rule: any of these Senate rules and procedures that aren't dictated by the Constitution, I could really care less about.

Enough with these artifices. Let's do some governing.

I, for one, am not concerned about the Democrats whenever they tale power again. The government should be able to function efficiently regardless of which party is in power.

A simple majority vote is perfectly fine for the vast majority of Senate decisions. If it's good enough to pass a law, it should be good enough to confirm a Supreme Court Justice.

Filibuster, schmilibuster...
