Kennedy School Group Starts 'Resistance School' In Response To Trump Administration
The Harvard Crimson ^ | April 6, 2017 | By JULIA E. DEBENEDICTIS

Styling themselves as characters from "Harry Potter," a group of Harvard students has launched the "Resistance School," a four-session program designed to teach techniques for challenging President Donald Trump's administration.

Founded by former campaign staffers, organizers, and activists, the Resistance School aims to “sharpen the tools [necessary] to fight back at the federal, state, and local levels,” according to its website.

Timothy P. McCarthy ’93, a lecturer on History and Literature and a lecturer on public policy at the Kennedy School, led the Resistance School’s first session Wednesday evening, delivering a lecture on “How to Communicate our Values in Political Advocacy.”

In the second session, Sara El-Amine, the former executive director of Obama’s advocacy arm, will teach “How to Mobilize and Organize our Communities.” Marshall L. Ganz, a senior Kennedy School lecturer, will teach the third: “How to Structure and Build Capacity for Action.” In the final session, recently-elected Democratic National Committee Vice Chair Michael A. Blake will speak on“How to Sustain the Resistance Long-Term.”

“I think that our democracy is experiencing a very serious threat at this moment with the Trump regime,” Ganz said. “For me it’s not just about resistance, it is about turning this into an opportunity to renew our politics. It’s for the future.”

A lot of people can now scratch any idea of going to Harvard. Not worth the $80,000/year cost to attend there anymore--especially with a lot of equally good colleges that doesn't cost that much--and now having to deal with the social justice warrior crowd.

“Styling themselves as characters from “Harry Potter,””

Adults living through a kids book

“delivering a lecture on “How to Communicate our Values in Political Advocacy.” “

That is why Trump won.

“In the second session, Sara El-Amine, the former executive director of Obama’s advocacy arm,”

Not shocked.

“In the final session, recently-elected Democratic National Committee Vice Chair Michael A. Blake will speak on“How to Sustain the Resistance Long-Term.” “

Resistance to what exactly?

“I think that our democracy is experiencing a very serious threat at this moment with the Trump regime”

Um....where?

We need schools all over the Country training people for the inevitable civil war with these maniacs.

Really.

It has gotten that bad.

We had to swallow all the crap Obama created while he was in office and we did so and followed the law.

These people have rejected a legitimate election, the choice of the American public and the candidate selected. They reject the reasons he was elected. They intend to do every thing possible to frustrate him including actions above and beyond the law.

That is rebellion.

One can only be amazed at the constitutional illiteracy exhibited on college campuses and condoned by their Administrations today.

Do We Have
A Living
Constitution?

"Until the people have, by some solemn and authoritative act, annulled or changed the established form, it is binding upon them collectively, as well as individually; and no presumption or even knowledge of their sentiments, can warrant their representatives [the executive, judiciary, or legislature]; in a departure from it prior to such an act." - Alexander Hamilton

In the first of the eighty-five "Federalist Papers," Alexander Hamilton emphasized that:

"... it seems to have been reserved to the people of this country, by their conduct and example, to decide the important question, whether societies of men are really capable or not of establishing good government from reflection or choice, or whether they are forever destined to depend for their political constitutions on accident and force."

"Force" by "resistance" to constitutional actions of "We, the People," through the election process in electing a President seems to be evidence of extra-constitutional advocates of tyranny, not ordered liberty.

The sad thing is that someday these people will look back and realize that they’d wasted the best years of their lives on nothing, all lost forever.

We already have four such schools. US Military Academy, US Airforce Academy, US Naval Academy, and US Coast Guard Academy.

Says all you need to know about them. Dimwits whose entire frame of reference is children's fantasy.

What they are really doing is working against the lawful political decisions expressed by the majority of the states in this country. Trump won the election. They do not respect or honor the will of the American people.

Its how liberals roll.

Resisting election results.

Not just POTUS but House, Senate and state races as well.

The American voters chose Republicans.

The liberal voters lost.

Styling themselves as characters from "Harry Potter," a group of Harvard students...

The students have no knowledge of actual history, so they might as well model their little school on a work of fiction.

I don't say this often, but this thread kindly made it possible for me to ignore with prejudice this group and its objective, coming right out of the gate.

That clown McCarthy must be long on literature and short on history.
