ALM BEACH, Fla. — The United States is looking into whether Russia participated in the Syrian chemical weapons attack that provoked President Donald Trump's airstrikes against the Assad government, a revelation that could have dramatic implications for relations between Washington and Moscow.

On Friday, senior U.S. military officials said a drone belonging to either Russia or Syria was seen hovering over the site of the chemical weapons attack after the assault earlier this week. Russia is one of Syria's most important patrons and has long resisted U.S. efforts to push President Bashar Assad from power.

Even as Trump advisers insisted that Thursday night's U.S. missile strike did not mark a significant shift in American policy, he called on other nations to help "end the slaughter and bloodshed in Syria."

The more pertinent question is, did Syria take part in chemical weapon attack?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you want to stop the bloodshed in Syria you have to get Saudi Arabia to stop funding it.
They started it and continue to fund it.
Why is this a bad thing? This competely demolishes the “Trump is a Russian Puppet” narrative.
Uh, no.
Cause there’s no way of smashing NK without their 10,000 artillery pieces smashing SK.
A little different than lobbing missiles at a 4th rate military
You consider putin too big to expose. I guess that’s like those who would not speak truthfully about Stalin.
Its Syria, for Gods sake, not Ukraine in 1935. its Islamists, often trained by the USA and supported by Saudi Arabia, trying to establish a Jihadi caliphate, in a proxy civil war against Assad and his Russian backers. If you can find a good guy in all this - please point him out.
Please also stop the unbelievable Stalin comparisons.
Oh, so you want me to think you would have spoken honestly about communist dictator Stalin, but you cannot about KGB putin? Yet many people wouldn’t even when they knew what was up with Stalin. And frankly, we’re seeing a lot of Walter Durantys today pretending putin’s a paladin of Christ, a good fella, blah, blah, blah. It’s a wonder he ever made it to Col in the KGB with all of his Boy Scout virtues.
