Thank you - Sessions doesn’t even have a deputy yet, McCabe and Comey are still there, and many other positions aren’t filled yet.
Trump hasn’t been President even three weeks yet. I wish whoever it is holding up appointments would stop doing it.
“Both Flynn and McMaster appear to me to be conniving liars, out to make personal deals to benefit themselves only. “
Do you really know anything about these men and how they’ve served, and sacrificed for their country? Have you served in the military, overseas, in combat? Criticism is fine, but personal insults are unwarranted and not the level of conversation we should have here in this forum.
I saw all this stuff this morning and almost posted it. One thing people have to keep in mind. Once you have a twitter account, you can tweet ANYONE. There is no friends list or anything like that. I could tweet McMaster right now if I wanted. Doesn’t mean their pen pals and it doesn’t mean McMaster took her advice.
Thanks for the link. I lived next to a Marine Tanker in NC a couple of yrs ago. I’ve been thinkin about him.
U.S. Army. Enlisted. R.A. all the way. Peacetime. They deserve no more reverence if they’ve now jumped the tracks, than Petraeus does after shacking up and spilling secrets. Both have engaged in shady crap, and IMO, should never have been on Trump’s team.
Actually, he had a glowing recommendation from me and from Victor Davis Hanson.
McMaster knows more about beating radical Islam than anyone on this board, and more than, yes, Steve Bannon. That’s why Bannon took my advice.
What he and Petraeus did RIGHT in Iraq was take over a badly failing strategy that had way too many people in the cities who were not fighting and get combat troops out; and 2) they got the western al-Anbar tribes to go to war with al-Qaeda. Those were major accomplishments, eliminated by Obama. To think that you can have advisors who have never been to Iraq or Afghanistan, never dealt with the enemy and our allies-—however reliable/unreliable they might be-—up close, well that’s just lunacy.
McMaster was hated by the traditional brass because he thought outside the box, was very results driven. He can do the job if people let him, and, yes, he will listen to Bannon.
See my post 86.
Thanks for the ping.
Many thanks.
Very perceptive. "What's happenin', dude?" Anything to relax the 'Rat into feeling like they are holding a private conversation with other 'Rats.
And target 'Rats with funky last names like Farkas and Guber.
Rice is in full denial. She is going down. Hey Sue, Obama ain’t POTUS anymore : )
Thanks for the ping.
This was at Mar-a-Lago, the night of the Syria Tomahawk attack.
So arrogant, she can’t even consider her mentor L-O-S-T.
Probably she’s counting on OFA having her back at whatever mischief she manages to dream up.
Sound guess.
The school asserts that during her residency at A/U, Rice will work primarily on her next book and mentor SIS students on careers in national security.
A/U defines Susan Rice's position with Obama thusly: She provided the President with daily national security briefings and was responsible for coordinating the formulation and implementation of all aspects of the Administrations foreign and national security policy, intelligence, and military efforts.
