Gas prices may be on the rise following the U.S. airstrike in Syria.
Oil prices hit a one-month high on Friday after the United States fired missiles at a Syrian government airbase, sending shockwaves through global markets and raising concerns that the conflict could spread in the oil-rich region. As of Friday morning, the average per-gallon price for gasoline was $2.39, or an increase of about one penny from Thursday, according to gas tracking site GasBuddy.

Middle East war is no way to Make America Great Again. It sure didn’t help during Bush’s years, or Obama’s.
Syria has oil? You learn something new every day.
Didn’t you forget a very well known message sent to Moahmar Khadaffy in the 80s?
My local wallyworld is up a dime a gallon, to $2.12.
Gas prices are going to jump in California. But that’s because Jerry Brown is at war against the people who live there.
...in california, which just raised gas taxes...
(though it had nothing to do with syria and eveything to do with california liberals)
(we have been worn!!)
$2.39 before Mrs. Brown got her grimy little paws on our gasoline and hit us with a $52B California gas and vehicle tax
that’s why Russia has a toehold there and the port is so important to them - oil for Russia
McJuan, I'm talkin' to YOU!
The Government makes more off a Gallon of Gasoline than the People who produce it, and that was before Jerry Brown and his Rat Friends in Sacramento just pushed the CA State Gasoline Tax to over $.50 Cents a Gallon.
Yes, that’s all true, but as a Californian who has to drive on the roads here, I don’t see a solution other than what’s been voted in. My concern is that the money will be siphoned off for other purposes making the motorist just another source of revenue to be spent on anything but roads. I am waiting to see how the “public transit folks,” the bicyclists, the nature trail lovers, etc come out on this deal for openers. I just hope that the money really gets used to fix the roads here, which a few decades ago were the best in the country. I also wonder just how much we are spending on additional repairs to our vehicles that are needed simply because of the bad roads. And right off the bat we read that what’s left of the Republicans here wanted some pork for other purposes included as their price for voting for the tax increase. I hate them worse than the RATs.
This is nothing more than a dig at Donald Trump by CBS. They will never report anything positive about him.
Well my Friend, you and I being CA Residents are at the mercy of Tax and Spend Liberal Democrat Marxists.
That Gas Tax Increase will probably end up propping up the Bankrupt Government Pension System and giving those poor underpaid and underappreciated CA Employee Union Members a well deserved Raise. LOL

Certainly we can expect to see at least some of that, since the state’s finances are really precarious. In a perverse way, the Trump Presidency may “postpone” our pending bankruptcy for a few more years. Although, I hope that that isn’t the case. I can’t see any hope for a return to any sort of decent government here until the RATs run out of money. so I hope that Jerry Brown does hire the laid off EPA folks. Anything he can do to continue his profligate spending brings the financial crash closer to taking place, and that’s a good thing. The other part will be dividing the state. Everything south of the Angeles Crest is gone! There are too many illegals there for any hope of a recovery. SF and Sacto, are not big enough to keep the new state of Northern California or Jefferson, or whatever from succeeding as we have all the natural resources and nearly all of the agriculture.
Anything Trump does MAY raise gas prices!
Women and minorities to be hardest hit!
More Fake News at 11!
May?
Any excuse works for the oil companies.
What will be interesting though, is that this time Trump is in office and I don’t think we’re as dependent on Mid-East oil as before.
I would not put it past Trump to go to other sources to keep the oil companies and OPEC from screwing our economy and country yet again.
8 years of drone strikes and not one concern that gas prices would go up from CBS. Hmm..
