I heard this morning that Russia has called on the UN to investigate who used the chemical weapons.
Tillerson is meeting with Putin today so hopefully between them they can come to some understanding about Syria's Chemical weapons.
We know that Russia removed all the chemical weapons Assad had..’in the areas of control Assad had’....but really how could they remove those the terrorists had stored in their areas of control. We know they confiscated chemical weapons in areas they had won the battles.
It appears we're saying this occurred via ‘distribution’ by military jets. But this has not yet been actually proved last I saw outside of an airial map we've shown of the flight path they think it took.
Until there is an investigation I don't see how blame can be put anywhere other than obvious an attack had occurred...and others, though smaller attacks, as well throughout this war have been used by terrorists when they're loosing a battle.
Either way Trump and the G-7 are simply putting pressure on Russia to make a choice regarding support to Assad. Interesting Putin said a week or so ago that his support to Assad is not without conditions........would be interesting if we knew what those conditions are.
I said an investigation should have been done from the beginning. If they found out Assad did it, make a deal with Russia that they go with us and allow us to ensure all chemical weapons are removed. If Assad does it again, slap crippling sanctions on Russia over it. They have incentive to keep in line.
the UN to inspect? good luck with that
