Of course we can’t trust Russia but Trump can certainly leverage their self-interests in order to satisfy our self-interests. We would want certain things from a new Syrian leader and so would Russia. I should think both would want one who supports defeating ISIS.
I think leveraging Russia out of the driver’s seat was what he accomplished with the strike. We are on the same wave length. Now let’s hope Putin makes a wise decision. I think he knows he’s holding the short straw. What do you think Iran will do?
