Some species of birds can’t fly. And jaguars do live in that area.

This mess with the jaguars has been brewing here for a while. Funny thing is until recent years a jaguar would only seen here about once every 20 years, everyone knew they didn’t live here and were just straying in from Mexico. Then a rancher/hunter took a picture of one he encountered in the U.S. and the environmentalists lost their mind. One was captured as part of a study, and it was later proven that he was lured here from Mexico using scent from female jaguar. Below is a couple of links about the jaguar situation but there are tons of info out there if anyone is interested.

As to the effect on border wall or enforcement- President Bush issued a waiver of environmental and other concerns (like Indian ruins) as part of the Fence Act. I hope that waiver is still in place but if not I hope President Trump will be able to do the same.
