I read about intravenous vitamin C in YUGE doses drastically beating back cancer.
I thought it sounded crazy but upon further research some quite reputable resources confirmed that at least to some extent, and sometimes more than just some, huge doses of IV vitamin C can really help.
I am glad you are sharing this in your time of grief.
It reminded me of what C can do and will let others know.
(because the body can only absorb 500 milligrams when taken orally)

Thanks for replying. I was thinking about him being a former SEAL (Nam) and realized the VA should be doing this pronto. He never went to the gov for any of his benefits.

But since I’m a doctor, I’ll just rub essential oils on the soles of feet and some crystals at the head of the bed because I don’t want to be a stooge for “Big Pharma”.

Intravenous C is VERY powerful. They used 2000 percent of the RDA for the cancer patients. Interesting results, to say the least.

I gotta tell ya, a close family member swears by Vitamin C. She told her doctor, a general practitioner her regimen of taking Vitamin C every day.
The doctor’s response was something like this: “I cannot give you any scientific proof that Vitamin C works to keep you healthy. But I will tell you that since I began taking it daily, my well being has improved!”
Reminds me of when we had our child and the new baby was teething. The old doc said to us “I cannot medically endorse this, but in the old country, we would put a little whiskey on a baby’s gums—not a lot, just dip your finger in and rub it on—and the pain will be alleviated.” We knew what he meant.
Thanks for links, too. I have problems with anxiety triggering arthritis (and probable future dementia-family history) so going to go educate myself about mechanics. I always wonder HOW things work and love, absolutely, neuroscience.
Just keep in mind that sepsis is the body reacting to an infection.
It is important to understand WHY and WHAT the body is fighting. Certainly it is important to keep this arrow in the quiver, but be sure to fix the problem as well.

I don’t know the answer to that. I was taking a daily vitamin pill. My med school told me to stop because only 1/2 of the pill gets absorbed into the body. She recommended I take a liquid vitamin because all of the liquid gets absorbed.
