Not certain what TBI is? I’ve experienced panic attacks, back in 2008. In rapid succession, my dad became seriously ill, my dog got cancer and died, my business went down the tubes due to crash-related customer bankruptcies and then my dad passed away, all in the space of about six months. I tried to force reality to conform to my will, I guess, trying to prevent all that from happening and I couldn’t. I know it’s sort of trendy for people to claim to suffer from panic attacks and I suspect a lot of the people claiming to have them don’t. But, I’d never mock anyone who actually experiences them, it’s awful and I can see why they would get to the point that they couldn’t leave their house. Imagine how you felt when something scared the bejeezus out of you, and then imagine that lasting for hours. You can’t really do anything, it’s debilitating. I got past mine with prayer and over the counter supplements to combat anxiety, but some have a harder time of it.
That you survived such a traumatizing number of events that happened one after another after another is a testament to your strength.
My pop died when I was 14, the anxiety attacks / depression kicked in at 16. 48 and have good days and bad days.
Mom really fell apart for a number of years afterwards and wa put in psych a few time. She got better. I didn’t lol.
I don’t think panic attacks are too trendy to say you have because because of the outdated notion that it shows weakness.
It’s an illness It’s a ####y illness. And it’s always in the shadows waiting to make its move.
I am glad you recovered.
I wish I had never taken an SSRI or SNRI in my life. Don’t think they really ever made a difference.
Just good stretches and bad stretches :)
