Well, depending on what the “modification” is, I might be one of those who is not pleased. Maybe insisting on current laws being enforced is being a “hard liner”; if so, I’ll wear that label proudly.

At one time THERE were third grade class teachers, who passed on to THEIR students proper grammar and spelling. THEY’RE all long since retired.

As of today, I think he’s been a good choice.
I think the death penalty is a good deterrent in many cases, rather than not facing it and with no witnesses alive to testify, which incentivizes criminals to kill.
