Russia's deputy PM Dmitryi Rogozin already explained that they are not creating a killing machine, but that they're developing an artificial intelligence that will be of great practical significance in various fields.

Like corn fields, bean fields. Why aren't they showing it off doing that?

Here’s the deal about robots.

They run out of power in ONE HOUR or less. Until that problem is solved they are not a serious threat.

“The Russian experimental robot stands six foot tall and weighs between 106-160 kg, depending on if it follows its current diet programming.”

6 feet tall, a max weight of 352 lbs or so. It is qualified to shop regularly at Walmart.

It’s a good reminder that even if we don’t develop battlefield robots (drones, or whatever), other countries will. It will be a weird version of the cold war missile gap.

It’s reminiscent of announcements about Iranian weapons.

We can have fun with this by changing the perspective:

In simulation, Russian robot guns down 25 terrorists attacking school. Then rescues scared kitty stuck in tree.
