Police say Stephenson approached Bonnie Currie, 22, as she waited for an F/M train at an East Village subway station early Friday and allegedly grabbed her crotch.

When she told him to “F–k off,” he reportedly pushed her onto the tracks.

“Physically I’m very beat up and sore,” Currie told The Post hours after the incident. “Mentally is harder to explain. I cried hysterically for many hours this morning in the ER.” Police say Stephenson has five prior arrests, including a robbery in 2009 for which he was on parole.

Imagine what would happen if a White man, and we have to imagine this because it would never happen, but let’s say a White man were to grab a black girl’s crotch on the subway. She swears at him, and then the White man throws her on the tracks in an attempt to kill her. What kind of press attention would that story receive? It would be the number one story of all time. Flags nationally would be at half staff, the country would be said to be in mourning, there would be forced classroom discussions, safe spaces etc. etc.

Woman was lucky a train wasn't coming at the time she was pushed off. That sort of thing seems to happen at least a few times a year in NYC. I'm a fairly big guy and even I won't stand close to the platform on the NYC subway. I always hang back a bit. Getting a good seat isn't worth it. I usually stand up in the subway cars anyhow as it is easier for you to be a target for theft when you are sitting and occupied with a cell phone.

Speaking of cell phones, people have been known to literally walk off the platforms and fall into the tracks on their own because they weren't paying attention to how close they were to the edge.

This happened to my mom in the 1940s. Her assailant was never caught but she saw him on a subway escalator...20 years later.

It would be tough to get off a clear shot in a NYC subway. But if good citizens were allowed to carry, well that would have quite the deterrent effect, I would think.
