I had a crazy girlfriend, who after one particularly wild episode of her 3-day bipolar madness attempted to apologize, through tears and a cutsie voice, “Was I being a psycho-hose beast?”

I replied, “Well, sorta, yeah.”

On another occasion, she threw her massive key ring at me when I was walking away after not being able to talk her down after some three to four hours of consoling. They ricocheted off my car hood and into the bushes. It was nighttime and I dutifully got out my flashlight and spent over 45 minutes trying to find the keys with her (she had finally put on her “big girl pants”).

I don't recall saying much during that time, but I stupidly tried to “make her better” for another 3-4 months, and then gave up.

I found out that some women were broken beyond being able to be fixed.

Listen to your friends when they tell you a girlfriend is not healthy for you.
