A VAT is nitrogen jet fuel to the engines of Big Government. Consumers could never figure out how badly Big Government was picking their pockets on every purchase. We could absolutely never make government shrink if they did this.

More bs from The Hill... of sour grapes.

The take over of this nation’s elected offices, by “R’s”, and the EO’s and Trump Supreme Court ownership is **astounding**.

On foreign relations Trump is ready to rumble, and forging friendships to get it done.

All this BS is coming because we’re WINNING, and the Soros lemmings actually know it!

Yes, I thew in my “Income tax must be abolished” comment at the same time as a “poison pill”. It will NEVER be abolished because too many in our economy depend on it (tax accountants, attorneys, etc.).

What deadline indeed. They once asked Mnuchin when he thought it could get done, and he unwisely offered “before September” but that was a guess, not a freaking deadline.

I voted to end Obamacare by defunding the taxes that pay for it, and the Freedom Caucus reneged on the deal. Screw those guys.

Never Trumpers are moderates (i.e. Tuesday Club), not conservatives.

PUT THE BLAME ON MAME, BOYS!
aka Paul Ryan, et al.

8 days? A reminder of an ancient Beatles tune, “8 days a week”

CITIZENS call for ‘make up days’ Like public school, when snow days are called, summertime recess is delayed to make up for lost days. On the other hand this might be a bad idea. When there, they do nothing but gum up the works.

PRESIDENT TRUMP - Good Work, Sir. Keep doing what you’re doing. Pay the chatterboxes no nevermind, and MAGA!

Nobody would know what to do with utter freedom I fear. This isn’t just a bunch of freepers living off of shot rabbits, and nobody else. A kind of convalescence is needed.

You’re forgetting about guys like Mike Lee. The Truth is most neverTrumpers are either part of the Moromon faction, neo-cons or paid by the Koch brothers or all 3.

I agree with you. Ryan is a cancer to our Republic, and unfortunately, Trump hasn’t figured this out yet.

“comprehensive” is an indicator that they’re not serious.

Exactly. Whenever you see the word "comprehensive" you know they're jerking the voters around:

It's all Inside-the-Beltway argle-bargle.

Kill the entire tax code, implement 15% flat tax across the board with no deductions

I like the idea, but I'd rather see this country tax consumption, rather than production.

Taxing wages (i.e., income) is an egregious crime against common working people. The Framers forbade it in the Constitution, but the elites eventually found a way around that proscription.

Damn them to hell.

I have a real nice Bridge down here in Long Beach for sale.

The Vincent Thomas bridge?

I remember how the politicians sold that to the people. It was only supposed to be tolled for as long as it took to repay the building costs.

They lied through their teeth, of course. Over half a century later, it's still a toll bridge.

Elites wouldn’t have gotten there without votes.

We’ve all been damning ourselves to hell.

We are where we are. An iterative process will be necessary to see us through a kind of political convalescence.

“GOP, Republican” are obsolete political terms imo

I agree. The two parties have now joined forces into a unified, elite class of parasitic totalitarians. As has famously been said, we would do better to fire them all, and replace them with the first 535 names in the phone book.

With few exceptions, the labels mean nothing anymore.

The self-proclaimed Conservative that can’t be happy with Trump should stop following politics. It will be impossible for them to ever be pleased. It’s just an exercise in self destruction for them to even be tuned in.

Trump has done more for Conservatism in his first 100 days, than the last four presidents combined.

None the less, some folks are still picking fault with him.

This is a new animal. It’s your, “too much information” voter.

They’ve read everything there is on Conservatism, and if a person screws up on one thing, they go postal.

We pretty much agreed here if Trump got 35-50% of what he promised done, we’d be very happy, and he would be considered one of our best presidents.

He’s accomplished 85-95% of what he promised to have done by now, and some folks are ripping him for the other 5-15%.

Those folks will never ever be happy.

If he had achieved 100%, they’d be saying, yes but he hasn’t raised the dead yet.

Screw ‘em.

I believe in progressing closer to where we would ideally be, with the help of God. It looks like Donald has that kind of vision. Progressivism went wrong because it progressed into a rabbit hole, not in a direction closer to where God would want us to be.

Raising the dead requires a lot of suffering. Ask Jesus.

Yeah whomever come up with this crap is as bad as GWB and the democrats. Just cut the business rates, don’t penalize companies from repatriating their assets and cut the marginal rates, its not rocket science. You will suffer shortfalls in the short term but if you control spending the increases in revenues within a few years will make up for that. The Republicans are more and more the Democrats of the 1970’s. Damned fools.
