You don’t have to go to Starbucks even if they inundate your area...

Folgers Instant at home is better than Starbucks on Starbucks BEST day...

Expensive, but I’ll raise a cup of their AK 47 Espresso roast in salute. Delicious.

“FAR too late.”

It is never too late. The question is will it be enough.

Green Beans as in Jolly Green Giant?

Green Beans was a coffee store on various military bases.

Are we still supposed to go in Starbucks, and discuss race relations? I never understood how that works. Are you supposed to debate Ferguson and Baltimore riots, etc. with the person next to you in line, or engage the barista in debate??

I don't think so. Americans are stupid in their short memory.

Remember the rallying call after 9/11? "Never forget!"

Next thing we knew, America was being flooded with raghead savages, and nobody says a word.

Heck, we're likely going to be at war with China someday, yet for a $1 savings on a pair of flip flops, we gladly buy their junk.

I remember when everybody assumed we would fight the USSR someday.

RIP Ronald Reagan. Who could calculate the lives you saved?

OMG. They woke up and smelled their own coffee. Unfortunately, the cup was full of piss and vinegar.

I was at the USO Lounge at Dallas or Houston, they were across from Starbucks. While speaking to the USO rep. I was told that Starbucks donates coffee to them to serve the GIs. The coffee was Starbucks. Did it taste anything like the orderly room GI coffee? NO! I spent the last 20 years trying to find anything that tasted like it. I still haven’t found it. Maybe I should try making Folgers in one of my socks? The two things I miss the most is my 6 cups of GI coffee in the a.m. and SOS that tastes like it should.

Starbucks’ proud announcement that they would hire 10,000 refugees (instead of veterans) must have hurt their bottom line.

I refuse to drink coffee that is served in paper cups, no matter how fancy the coffee is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I agree with you on drinking from paper cups but they probably are more sanitary.
Will the military family be required to have facial piercings and facial tattoos, like typical baristas?
I’ve tasted Starbucks coffee when I worked in the early 90s at the Music City Sheraton Hotel and the brand introduced. It was quite strong and you couldn’t drink more than a cup. Later after it became popular I never bought one. They have Starbucks at the Commissary at Fort Campbell, plus there is a Starbucks store on post also.
Seems like Starbucks is using veterans to soften the backlash against their stupid ‘hire refugees’ policy.
Makes me mad!
There might be refugees where you are (Austin), but there are none here in Clarksville TN, and there won’t be any either in the near future
