Former U.S. vice-president Al Gore is warning against massive geoengineering experiments that attempt to reverse climate change, arguing instead that the focus must remain on cutting emissions that are warming the planet.
I dont think its a good idea, Mr. Gore told the TED Conference in Vancouver.
Mr. Gore said such Band-Aids arent the solution.
We have to stop the pattern of behaviour that is creating this crisis, said Mr. Gore, who was not on the TED program, but was called up from the audience.
There is a collision between human civilization as its presently organized, and the surprisingly fragile ecological system of the earth. The most vulnerable part of it is the very thin shell of atmosphere that were using as an open sewer.

So why isn’t he giving this speech in China and India, who are putting all the pollutants in the atmosphere.

what the heck is TED? Yesterday I googled it but couldn’t understand what it is.
You know what, I don’t want to know what it is. I’ve lived 56.5 years w/o TED I hope to live another 57 years w/o it.
I bet it’s some corporate thing... the next big “see how great I am” thing. pffffftttttt.
The coming Ice Age was settled science 40 years ago.
Just as we all suspected. Climate Change has nothing to do with climate.
That's a VERY relevant TED talk when talking about a clown named Gore.
A FREEPER might find the next TED talk interesting. Most TED talks will have some VERY WRONG information but it does make you think......
