The majority of murders in the U.S. occur in only a small percentage of counties across the country.
The Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) said in a new report that there is a geographical concentration of murders, with 68 percent of killings occurring in just 5 percent of the nations counties. The homicides also tend to be concentrated to relatively small pockets of those counties, the report said.

“While many factors explain these concentrated murders, it is also striking that the counties with zero murders are the counties with by far the highest gun ownership rates,” Lott said.

And I bet I can tell you what demographic lives there too.
Must be Amish areas.
Striking. But not surprising. Not to anyone with a basic grasp of human nature.
Just like Hillary voters. Bet they’re all also democratic strongholds, too.
Very interesting. Thanks for posting.

Let’s catch these criminals.
Heh. I imagine even Baltimore and Chicago are safe as long as you know which areas of town are no-go zones.
Looks like high crime and the location of massive numbers of illegal aliens go hand in glove. What a surprise!
It should be pointed out that those counties also have the highest population densities.
Here's the map from the article. No surprises.
The whole point of the article is that more people get murdered in counties where more people live.
I suspect the reason murders are slightly less geography concentrateed now than they were just a few years ago is due to Section 8 housing moving the murderers into better neighborhoods.
The Chicago police can predict with incredible accuracy who will be murdered. It’s profiling. I don’t recall all the elements but one is...if you have been arrested in the last two years with someone else, your odds of being a murder victim jump way up. On average, the murder victims are criminals who are slightly slower on the draw.
It’s funny they tell us that many factors explain the concentration of murders in certain areas, but then don’t tell us what those factors are. They keep us guessing as to what correlations exist between murders and the unexplained factors.
And which political party runs the area.
Hillary voters.
Of course. :)
