Chuck Schumer (D-NY) had a sit-down interview with MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt and couldn’t name a single Democrat who could beat Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
Chuckie also couldn’t name the leader of the Democrat party–that’s because they don’t have one! Unless of course you count Maxine Waters. Hah!
Kasie Hunt: “I would like one very short answer to this question. Who in the Democratic party can beat President Trump in 2020?”
Schumer: “Lots of people.”
Hunt: “One name?”
Schumer: “Not gonna pick a name, but if he continues–
Hunt: “Who’s the leader of the Democratic party? You?”
Schumer: “Well we have a bunch of leaders. You know, I certainly am the leader of the Senate and I try to help represent the Democratic party.”

Schumer also cannot name one eye doctor who can correct his eyeglass prescription so he doesn’t have to wear his specs on the end of his nose.
I would have come back with, "OK, I'm not going to make you pick just one name. If there's 'lots' of people that could beat Trump, how about throwing out two or three hypothetical examples?"

Is there any Democrat with the support and backing to even RUN in 2020?
No bench. No bench at all.
Of course, the Democrats COULD actively recruit from the NeverTrumper Republicans (John Kasich comes to mind). But other than that, I do not see Tom Perez in any way, shape, or manner making a pitch that would even appeal to the rabid wild-eyed bunch now in effective control of the one-time Democrat party.
Which is not even a national party any more.
2020 is probably a done deal.
We should be thinking about 2024. Who is our guy in 2024? We MUST WIN in 2024 or America is done. I just don’t think the guy we want is Pence. He comes across as an establishment guy, not prepared to do what will need to be done.
In 2024, we need a guy who is ready willing and able to finish the job Trump has started, finish dismantling the 80% unconstitutional portion of the federal government and restore our Free Constitutional Republic.
Don’t know who that person is but I pray God will raise him up.

A typical politician’s answer. As a party leader, if he named any names it would be considered a tacit endorsement. That is huge political capital that he gives up and that the potential candidate receives. Such political capital is not given away for free.
Chuckie’s answer puts it up to the highest bidder. It’s either political business or political prostitution. Or maybe they are the same thing.
Correction: He can’t name one ‘rat who would not be CRUSHED under President Trump’s boot.

You probably know better than I, but who of that group (or anyone else you might know of) do you think would be willing to take and withstand the scorching blasts of fire and brimstone from the Left when they began implementing the dismantling of the 80% unconstitutional portion of the feds, sending literally hundreds of thousands of government officials, bureaucratic heads and government workers home packing without a job? Because if we are to restore our Free Constitutional Republic, that is EXACTLY what it’s going to take.

I’ve been accused of being a political junkie, but I really have no idea who the best candidate would be. But I certainly agree that if President Trump even halfway drains the D.C. swamp the backlash is going to be enormous.
