My personal fave is Fauxchahontas. I suspect that at some point or other, Trump heard her called "Fauxchahontas", but misunderstood what was said and logically substituted it with the more familar sounding "Pocahontas".

I think "FakeAhontas" would be a more effective jibe.

I disagree. The REAL Pocahontas is always relevant. Neither Trump, the person being mocked, or the listeners probably realize he is disrespecting a real person with real achievements.

Fauxahontas is so much more apropos and relevant to Warren.

A. He’s not disrespecting her. Just the opposite. If she wasn’t such a well known Indian, he wouldn’t be using her name.

B. “Fauxahontas” is an unnecessary double-pun. And, besides, since “Fauxahontas” is obviously referencing the name Pocahontas, how is it any different than using the name itself (I’ll answer that... it’s not).

The absolute brilliance of Trump is that he encourages people to underestimate him. He WANTS people to think he is simple and stupid, and then runs circles around them and they don’t know what hit them.

“Pocahontas” is excused as simple minded name calling, but is really “Rules for Radicals” turned against them, and they don’t know how to handle it. Trump has not only applied Saul Alinsky’s life work, but he has taken it to a level that the left has never had to deal with before. THEY are in a reactionary mode, back on their heals. “Freeze it”, isolate, demonize, ridicule and make fun of the enemy. Things republicans have no idea of before Trump...

The only “real person” Trump disrespected was Elizabeth Warren. “Fauxcahontas” would be great...if he’s trying to reach the 1 or maybe 2% of the population who hangs around conservative websites online. Everyone else would not know what he’s talking about or simply assume that he misspoke. Trump goes for powerful simplicity. Obscure online memes aren’t his thing. Contrary to what you claim, the entire reason Trump chose Pocahontas was that most people know who she was. That’s why the nickname works.

I have to admit, I find it disappointing to see so much political correctness on this thread.

You are correct, though. Only 1 or 2% of the population would have any real idea of who Pocahontas really was, not after Disney trashed her in it’s animated film.

In the modern uber-PC America, fun teasing and funny nicknames are now horrible “insults” for the first time in history. I consider it the victory of the snowflakes.

And by the way Fauxachontas “trashes” her too, because it’s a clear play on Pocahontas...so I guess you’re for “trashing a good Christian” too by your logic.
