The man appeared to be too far gone to be resuscitate, Rutledge said.

MAybe connected to yesterday’s stabbings?...................
In the last few months, it seems as though more local news stories are going national. Not all of these news stories are extraordinary or unusual. Many are somewhat tragic, but not that unusual. What does that indicate? Maybe less good editors and an increased appetite to fill the air with something/ anything bloody.
Or related to the threats of killing of white people lately around campus.

Why do you make that comment here?

I make my living off the evening news
Just give me something-something I can use
People love it when you lose,
They love dirty laundry
Well, I coulda been an actor, but I wound up here
I just have to look good, I don’t have to be clear
Come and whisper in my ear
Give us dirty laundry
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em all around
We got the bubble-headed-bleach-blond
Who comes on at five
She can tell you ‘bout the plane crash with a gleam in her eye
It’s interesting when people die
Give us dirty laundry
Can we film the operation?
Is the head dead yet?
You know, the boys in the newsroom got a running bet
Get the widow on the set!
We need dirty laundry
You don’t really need to find out what’s going on
You don’t really want to know just how far it’s gone
Just leave well enough alone
Eat your dirty laundry
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re stiff
Kick ‘em all around
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re stiff
Kick ‘em all around
Dirty little secrets
Dirty little lies
We got our dirty little fingers in everybody’s pie
We love to cut you down to size
We love dirty laundry
We can do “The Innuendo”
We can dance and sing
When it’s said and done we haven’t told you a thing
We all know that Kraft is king
Give us dirty laundry!
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
Kick ‘em when they’re up
Kick ‘em when they’re down
‘Too far gone to be resuscitated’ appears to indicate a drug OD.
I think the comment just reflects his belief that what happens in local Texas stays in local Texas, but some of those stories are now getting national attention.
>>What does that indicate?
That the predatory “media” will use anything they can to desensitize and wear down the sheeple with doom and gloom?
I recently got rid of my TV and this is part of the reason.
About the only thing I watched was the local news in Boston, mostly to check on the weather. But, apart from the weather, I noticed a loose pattern that they HAD to talk about a house fire, they HAD to talk about a fatal car accident, and they HAD to talk about an assault on a public street (preferably murder!).
If Boston had been quiet the day before, I would hear about a house fire in Kansas, a fatal accident in New Jersey, and a murder in Alabama. Or something. Juicy national news stories were shoved at me even though they had no affect on my life.
Who needs it? It's not really "news". It's just a sick form of entertainment. I quit.
I’m speaking of news stories from televised or broadcast media outlets, such as Fox News or CNN. I’m not speaking of individual posters here on Free Republic. Hopefully, that provides clarity to what I previously stated.
Or a bleed out or on a special listing.
If it bleeds, it leads.
I stopped watching local news years ago. It is garbage. Local news going national usually has an agenda attached. In the span of a week, multiple local murders went national. Murder and other human tragedy has become entertainment and that is quite sick.
In a world of personal responsibility and traditional values, people feel in control of their lives.
In a scary, chaotic world, people hope that their elected officials will run things for them.
Television helps everyone "think the right way".
“Too far gone to be resuscitated appears to indicate a drug OD.”
My guess is that the body was in a state of rigor-mortis or decomposition.
