Over 300 youths just arrested in South Orange.
Yes, it is sad, but not surprising. The youths are doing these crimes because they have no training.
The Oranges were once working family and upscale, Central Ave in West Orange was once the “5th Avenue of NJ”. No more. Right down South Orange Avenue, East Orange is now an urban hell hole and literally a no go zone.
Visitors to the college ate told not to use the closest Parkway exit. The toll booth is automated because too dangerous. The locals take the tolls, toll collectors once showed up to empty the machine and were met by armed locals who stated the tolls are theirs.
In the seventies, South and West Orange were good places. Orange and East Orange were (and still are) no-go zones. Long ago, little known North Orange had been sucked into the earth; it’s space filled by Montclair, Glen Ridge, and Bloomfield.
