If this is the budget deal we get when Republicans control the House, the Senate and the presidency, there’s no point in ever voting for a Republican again.

This is insane. First, getting conservative Constitutionalists onto the Supreme Court alone is enough of a good reason for voting Republican for the Senate and President. Even in this bill, however, the Republicans were still better than nothing. If they had simply caved last Sept. the budget would have already been completed through this Sept. At least through Republican delays we did a reversal of some of Obama’s deep military cuts, provided more money for border security in a decade, and gave funding for school choice (and these were all things Trump ran on, regardless of whether Coulter cares about them all).

I wish we had gotten a lot more, but Coulter’s crazy if she doesn’t think a Dem Congress wouldn’t have pushed through something much worse. Even the things they "won" on now would have been in a worse form if they had total control. How about we wait until Trump gets his own first proper yearly budget in Sept. before we start trying to discourage people from voting Republican?

the bill actually prohibits money from being spent on a wall.

I keep hearing this, but the people claiming it never provide proof from the bill itself. I would like to know precisely what they are basing this on. Details and actual wording can matter a lot sometimes. If that's just their loose "interpretation," maybe Trump's interpretation when carrying out the law will be different.

” ... the bill actually prohibits money from being spent on a wall. I keep hearing this, but the people claiming it never provide proof from the bill itself.”

Maybe it’s semantics and they’re using the word “prohibits money” because it’s true: the bill doesn’t allocate any money for building the wall.

You can read the bill at the link below, if you are prepared to peruse all 1,687 pages as well as subscribe to the Congressional Quarterly.

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement. “The omnibus does not fund President Trump’s immoral and unwise border wall or create a cruel new deportation force.” - See more at: http://www.rollcall.com/news/politics/omnibus-spending-bill-budget-trump-agenda#sthash.ERn430Zi.dpuf

Sure, Her Histrionics Nanzi doesn’t always read stuff before it’s passed and she’s often wrong about things, but if she’s saying the wall isn’t funded and Spicer isn’t responding with something like, “That’s not true.” then that’s what’s called a `tacit admission’.

They’re basically agreeing to continue spending money on e-stuff and barbed-wire tightening authorized under the Secure Fence act, the sop that failed to get amnesty: IOW, stuff that doesn’t work from companies like Viper, Wham-O and Mattel.

We haven’t seen how he will rule on the court yet. I have seen a great many conservative judge turn full SJW once they get on the court
