It was a combination (God-ordained, I believe) of at least a dozen things, the main one being Hillary herself being a horrible candidate and such a divisive person.
Her actual terrible performance at the debates - tho Trump didn’t do so well himself - but she alienated many with her arrogance.
Add the following just to start:
Her illegal emails - and the failure to be prosecuted because she was Hillary;
Trump’s populism, gut appeal to the people; his being anti- and non- establishment;
Trumps stands, such as illegal immigation, drain the swamp, tax reform, and lots of his other positions.
Comey’s complete indictment of her as being guilty as sin - but letting her off....
and so on.....
