This is looking the the beginning of a narrative that the Russians are trying to influence an election that will reject a liberal socialist.

The media will make this out to be a grand conspiracy when the truth of the matter is that it makes sense to want the President who wants to improve relations with you. Macron wants to worsen relations with Russia.

Pursuant to putin’s divide and conqueror approach, Russians are fed a steady government-approved diet of propaganda, all to the delight of the “globalist haters” who want putin to take the lead in the world and restore the soviet empire under his ukases.
Presumably that means the Russians will hack the French election just like they hacked Hillary’s email. I expect them to sway a dozen votes, maybe.
Merkel actually endorsed Macron....which means 100% of Germans endorse Macron....cuz Merkel rules.

I didn’t read the story, dp...I was reacting to the headline.... wondering the significance of Russian voters preference for Le Pen. I’ll have to read to determine why someone would write this story. Are they voting ?
In some ways I think the Russian public is easily played by Putin. But in this case maybe they support Le Pen because they have their fair share of tragedies at the hands of Muslim fanatics?
