The first generation builds. The second generation preserves and the third generation squanders.

Keep digging your own grave, fats.

The US finally has a president that doesn’t mess around.
China NEVER messes around.
Japan has a conservative prime minister who is doing all that Japan’s constitution legally allows to support US operations against North Korea.

Even their “bestie” Russia, the country that was sent their first New Years card last year, doesn’t seem willing to go up to the plate for them on this one; Russia is openly talking about which Kim should take over next, and suspended their plans to upgrade the ferry service with the DPRK.

Yeah, there will be a dove running the ROK soon. But honestly, that only affects the consequences to the ROK; an attack on the north does not need to be based out of the ROK. If the ROK wants to shoot themselves in the foot by refusing operations from their soil and not taking part (and thus hindering our ability to protect them), out of some desperate hope that the DPRK won’t attack them if they shout “it’s not us!” loud enough... that’s their call. They’d be safest if they joined the US in a full-scale cross-DMZ preemptive attack, pushing the DPRK artillery out of range overnight and cutting them off from any undiscovered tunnels.

Either way, we’ll do our best to keep them safe even if they won’t help.

China needs to exterminate Chubby who they helped create. He is a deranged universal menace and they own him whether they want to or not

Here in the States that’s called “Shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves in 3 generations.” An ambitious young man starts a business from scratch, working in his shirtsleeves to get it going. Late in life, he has built it to a success and now operates it wearing a suit and tie. When he retires his son, who grew up helping his Dad, inherits the business and continues to run it as his Father would. Then comes the grandson, who never saw what it took to build the business. All he’s ever known was wealth, ease, a new Corvette and an Ivy League school. When he takes over, he spends more time chasing his secretary around the desk than he does tending to the business. And before he knows it, the company is insolvent, closed, or taken over by a competitor, and he’s back in shirtsleeves like Gramps was.

What do the NORKs hope to gain? How does a shooting war with the US and its allies benefit them?

Hopefully, KJ Un will continue to threaten China. I don’t think Xi will take to kindly to that.
