Could be thousands but, grains of salt. They are good at building tunnels. I wonder if they learned from their brothers in Gaza.

One would think that radar from satellites could detect these tunnels. Radar has identified hundreds of roads, buildings and other structures buried under the sands of Saudi Arabia. Also, during Viet Nam the US dropped hundreds of sensors to detect the enemy and report back by radio. With today’s technology I’d expect those sensors could sniff their farts and report their diet.
We need to engineer giant worms that burrow through sand and rock, not even caves can save people from them.
Some of the islands the Japanese were on they went into their caves and the battleships fired a lot of 16 inch shells and yet when the smoke cleared they crawled out and shot the guys coming ashore
Bunker Busters are what they need then and now drop a string of bunker busters from a B-52 and set timers for them all to go off at the same time collapse the tunnels and bury them in one pass.
Industrial sized gopher cannons.
I was thinking the same thing. A MOAB would give them a fitting burial.
