Correct. Should always be the presumption of innocence unless observable that a crime is being committed. This is America, after all. Or it was. If rules are enforced, such as preventing illegal aliens from breaking the law, then yes go ahead and ask for ID and get them out of here. But with all the rules being ignored or broken, then the law shouldn't arbitrarily ask for your papers. Most of us are innocent of wrong-doing.
