California is asking the federal government to pay 75 percent of the hundreds of millions of dollars in repairs to the badly damaged spillways at the nation's tallest dam, a state water agency spokeswoman said Monday.

Just how to turn off the Federal spigots to prevent flow to undesirable and undeserving locales is akin to learning to play a complicated instrument. The dam repairs are their own dam problem. When given the dam money before what did they spend the dam money on? The dam repairs? Wasn’t the dam funding in the porkulus bill?

Trump should declare that any contractors working on the dam project will be disbarred from contracts on building the wall.
I read somewhere that California received $25 million in Obama stimulus funds in 2009 and spent $0 of it on dam maintenance.

Before any additional Federal money is spent on this we need an accounting of where all the money they were given in the past to maintain the dam went. If any of it went to things that were not the dam (yes, I already know they spent it on everything but the dam) then no money should be issued and the Feds should announce who was responsible for the redirection of funds, what they spent it on and why they will get no more money.
